1. Diya Aur Baati Hum
The show is an all-time favourite since long! The serial is aired Monday to Friday on star plus at 9pm. The story depicts a true love story, despite several hurdles on the way. Sandhya Kothari is the main character in the serial. She is a determined lady who dreams to become an IPS officer and ties a knot with a guy assuming he is an MBA, but later on she figured out that he is just 9th pass and runs a sweets’ shop in the city. The journey is how Sandhya’s husband helps her in cherishing her dream, and how she starts trusting her husband again in life.
2. Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara
Rajshri production is famous for its epic love stories. The production house has brought a new love story, telecasted on star plus at 10 pm. The story depicts the impact of elders on the relationship of youngsters, and how they deal with it. The story revolves around Aditya who doesn’t believe in love because of differences in his family, and Pankhuri who plays the female lead role, and strongly believes in love. The show depicts how these two different characters meet, and treat life and relationships.
3. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai
Another romantic daily soap, aired on star plus, is a favourite among many saas and bahus. The story depicts the common problems of a typical Marwari joint family. The main female lead, Akshara has contributed a lot to the bahus in a family. She taught us how a typical bahu is supposed to behave in a joint family, with all the elders. Naitik, the male lead, is also an interesting character in the serial. With dadaji, bhabi maa, and choti maa, the serial has a number of interesting characters who make it popular!
4. Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma
If you don’t enjoy romantic or tragedy dramas, Sab TV has a got a lot for you to laugh at! And, we know laughter is good for health too. Keep all your worries aside, and watch this hilarious show at 8 30 pm from Mon – Fri. The serial is directed by a journalist named Tarak Mehta. The show revolves around Gokuldham society where people from all over the country reside. Right from Marathi, Punjabi, Bengali, Parsi, Muslim, and South Indian, families live together in society. They laugh, dance, cook, fight, help and celebrate with each other, with loads of laughter and humour. The female lead, Dayaa and the male lead Jhetha Lal are a treat to watch.

This daily soap is not a boring Saas-Bahu drama like the rest of the serials. The serial portrays the story of modern Muslim family. Zoya, the main female lead, plays a role of modern Muslim girl who is independent, confident, and very obstinate. Asad Ahmed khan is played by the heart throb Karan Grover who won million of hearts in ‘Dil Mil Gayye’. What happens when two opposite characters meet, and fall in love, is shown in the serial. The show is shown on Zee TV from Mon -Fri at 9 30pm.

A serial based on traditional Rajasthani customs and rituals of child marriage. The serial is telecasted on Colors channel at 8pm. The serial portrays two characters Jagdish and Anandi, who tied a knot while they were eight years old. Anandi’s strict M-I-L Kalyani doesn’t let her study and go to school, due to the ill treatment received by her M-I-L. Anandi runs away to her parent’s house. Jagdish also runs away from his house to Mumbai because of his strict father. In the mean time, Anandi’s M-I-L changes and let Anandi study. Both Anandi and Jagdish lead different lives and get divorced, and get married to different individuals. Watch, the serial to know who Anandi is in love with, her present man Shiv or her ex hubby Jadish!
7. Madhubala – ek ishq ek junoon
Since, the character portrays Madhubala, she has to beautiful! Yes, she is charming and cute and is a popular face on Colors TV. The serial depicts a typical love saga between Madhubala and RK. RK falls for this girl while he wished to trouble her! RK spreads rumour around town that he and Madhubala are involved romantically! This breaks her engagement with Mukul. Later, when she falls for RK, he denies his love for Madhubala and explains her that it was a trap! A new character in the serial named Sultan is introduced, and he falls for Madhubala. A typical family drama which portrays two different characters, good an evil. The story revolves around two cousin sisters Gopi and Rashi. Gopi who is illiterate, marries Aham. Seeing this, Rashi and her mother get very jealous. On the other hand, Rashi marries Jigar, after a lot of misdeeds. Despite of being an illiterate, Gopi wins everybody’s heart in the family, including her hubby. Rashi gets stuck with a lot of family problems in her married life. So, she decides to ruin Gopis’s married life. Learn how Gopi deals with various complexities in life!
9. Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke
The serial revolves around two teenage girls, Gunjan and Rachna. Two cousins, who were bought up in a different environment, go through fights and patch ups in their teen life. As no family drama is complete without a villain, here also we have one! How two small town girls handle studies, career, and boyfriend problems, in their different styles, is a must watch on Zee TV at 7:30 pm!

Sasural simar ka … As the name suggests, it has to do something with Sasural. Yes! The story portrays a small town girl; how she makes her dream come true after her marriage.
